Please join me for a reception and brief artist talk about my Scrapscapes series and artistic process, in celebration of my first gallery solo exhibition. Since it’s inception, partnering with Nelson Gallery has been a dream, and I’m honored to have my artwork grace their walls!

About the exhibition:

Like a field guide to previously undiscovered corners of the universe, Steph Joy Hogan's Scrapscapes series features mixed-media snapshots of imaginary worlds and the whimsical flora and fauna that inhabit them. Each piece shares a unique story, brought to life in layers of acrylic paint, ink, and found paper ephemera (including maps, book pages, and other discarded print material) with the intention of fueling your imagination. Steph's art practice is inspired by the unbridled imaginations of children, with space exploration as a common theme, representing both hope and a longing for connection.
